Screenings Are Necessary to Obtain A Medical Marijuana Business License
Video Transcribed: Who is required to undergo a criminal history screening? I am Ope Adegbuyi, a Medical Marijuana Attorney in Tulsa.
So the provision for the criminal history screening can be found in Title 310, Chapter 681, and I’ll just be reading that off.
So before issuance of any commercial license or transporter agent license, the following shall undergo an Oklahoma state criminal history background check to determine that the applicant does not have a disqualifying criminal conviction within 30 days before the license application.
And so these individuals or these people that have to undergo this check include applicants applying on their behalf, individuals applying on behalf of an entity, all principal officers of an entity, and all owners.
For a corporation seeking a business license, all officers, directors, and stakeholders. And for the public institutions seeking a research facility, license all principal and co-principal investigators.
