Senate Bill 774 to Change MMJ IDs
Hey, Oklahoma medical marijuana patients and licensed business owners. I’m Katrina Lucas, and I’m a Tulsa medical marijuana attorney with Wirth Law Office.
There is a bill that is going to impact your cards and the way they look and read. Senate Bill 774 is in front of the House. This bill is going to replace the 24-character identifier with a 12-character identifier and then have a barcode that is scannable on the back side of these cards to create traceability on the card.
Benefits of Senate Bill 774
I think this is actually a pretty good law. Twenty-four characters for a patient to remember their license number is a little difficult. This is more in line with the driver’s license number.
I will be apprising you of any new changes in this law. Reach out to me here at Wirth Law Office in the northeastern Oklahoma region, and keep track of any future videos on this law to see when it goes into effect.
