House Bill 2837: Important Information for Employers
I’m Tulsa 420.Law attorney Katrina Lucas at the Wirth Law Office, and I’m here to talk to you about a cannabis law that’s facing the Senate at this moment in time that’s passed the House. It’s house bill 2837 that’s going to require your employees to have annual trainings that will be published or certified by OMMA, and it will likely incur greater charges for you to have employees.
Every employee, not just one or two or some, it’s every employee on record for your business will need this. You will have to keep it documented well because this will become an OMMA checklist item once it’s approved, and the charges will likely be $250 to $500 or even $50.
Stay Informed and Prepared
With OMMA and the state, I would expect it to be around $250 per licensed credential class for an employee, so please keep aware of this law, and once it passes, I will give updates on any rules or approved vendors or approved classes that you should get for your employees. This is, of course, why we’re here to keep you safe, keep it legal, and keep your business operating.
