Requirements for Processors
Hello, this is Oklahoma Cannabis Business Attorney Jesse Kovacs with the OK Cannabis Law Office. Today, we’re going to be talking about what are the signage requirements if I have a processor license in Oklahoma.
We’ve talked about the signage requirements for a grow operation, but it’s very important to realize that if you are a processor, you are considered to be a manufacturer by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.
And for this reason, you also have a signage requirement that you need to be met that was promulgated by the OBNDD last August in 2023. And that rule basically follows the OMMA rule for growers.
It just says you need to post a sign at the entrance to the manufacturing facility that includes the business name, the physical address associated with the license, the phone number associated with the license, and your OBN registration number.
Compliance with Signage Requirements
To be safe, I would also include your OMMA license number on that. Also, to be safe, I would make sure that sign, even though it doesn’t say in the rules, I would make sure that sign complies with the OMMA description of what the sign should be.
So 18 by 24 inches, plain white background, plain black text, easily readable, at least two inches tall. And that will get you in compliance with the OBN signage requirements.
