Granting Medical Marijuana Growing Registrations
What Is the OBN’s Policy Process on Granting Medical Marijuana Growing Registrations? The OBN has promulgated new rules with regard to growers specifically and also processors and they have outlined four steps for you to have a successful application.
So the first step would be for the applicant for the registration to manufacture or cultivate marijuana submits the application form and then the second step is to pay for the form and then download the complete supplemental application packet which contains requests for additional documentation. The packet can be found on the OBN’s website. The online application by the way now costs $2,500 and not $500 anymore for both growers and processors.
The third step will be upon timely return of the preceding supplemental application packet the OBN will schedule a face-to-face interview with all applicants on the application. So for example it’s you and your partner on your OMMA license and in your business, both of you would have to fill out that supplemental packet, and then both of you would have to go into an interview with the OBN.
The fourth step is at the completion of the interview then OBN might grant the registration or conduct further criminal and or administrative investigation. So once you’re done with that interview then you know they’ll let you know they’re going to send it out for more review or say you’ve been approved or just let you know what the next process would be.
