It Could Be Announced via a Press Release
Video Transcribed: What happens if a dispensary fails the secret shopper’s product test? My name is Ope Adegbuyi and I am a medical marijuana business attorney in Oklahoma.
When the licensed medical marijuana testing laboratory unanimously confirms that test results with safety failures for contaminants, the authority shall recall the medical marijuana or the medical marijuana product within seven days of obtaining the test results. The name of the licensed medical marijuana dispensary and other relevant product information shall be made public via a press release issued by the authority.
If there is greater than one, but less than four contaminant fails among the licensed medical marijuana testing laboratories, the authority shall work with the quality assurance laboratory to verify the results of the licensed medical marijuana testing laboratories and take appropriate action.
And so in my last videos, we had talked about how the secret shopper would send the products that they had gotten from the dispensary to four other testing labs. And so this is basically saying if there is unanimous confirmation that the test has failed or the product has failed the safety test for contaminants, then they’ll recall. If one but less than four of the laboratories find that they failed, then they will send the product to a quality assurance laboratory to verify the results.
