The Act Will Relate to Adult Use of Marijuana Only
Video Transcribed: Hi. My name is Obe Adegbuyi and I am an Oklahoma medical marijuana business lawyer. So what does State Question 820 say?
In my last videos, I talked about the process of state questions becoming law and where State Question 820 is right now in the process. But I haven’t really talked about what State Question 820 really says. And so my coming videos will be talking about what State Question 820 talks about and its effect on Oklahoma as a whole.
So if State Question 820 becomes law, it would be known as the Adult Use Marijuana Regulation Act. The act will relate to adult use of marijuana only, which would be regulated by the OMMA as well, or at least any authority that the OMMA will put in charge of regulation.
However, according to the act, that’s left up to OMMA. The proposed act will go into effect 90 days after it has been approved by the people on the ballot. So once everyone says yes and there’s a majority or a simple majority vote on the ballot, then according to the act, it says it would be in effect from 90 days after that yes vote.
