Grower License Fee May Depend on the Estimated Square Feet to Be Harvested
Video Transcribed: How do the recent legislative updates affect you as a grower? I am Tulsa medical marijuana business attorney, Ope Adegbuyi
According to the newly passed bill 2179, which will be effective on November 1st, 2022. The initial fee for a medical marijuana commercial grower license shall be calculated based on the total amount of square feet of canopy or acres the grower estimates will be harvested for the year. The annual non-refundable license fee shall be based upon the total amount of square feet of canopy harvested by the grower during the previous 12 months. The amount of these fees shall be determined by whether you are an outdoor or an indoor grower.
Basically in that paragraph that we just read, when you’re getting an initial fee, it’s going to be charged based on what you say or assume that they’re going to harvest. And then once you know you’re going to renew it the next year, it’s going to be based on what you actually harvested for the past 12 months.
In my next video, we’ll be talking about the requirements for indoor growers. For more information from an Oklahoma marijuana grower license attorney, you can contact me at oklahomamedicalmarijuana.attorney.
