You Must File an Annual Certificate
Today we’re going to talk about annual certificates from the Secretary of State.
If you have a business entity registered with the Secretary of State, and if you’ve got a medical cannabis business, you must have a business entity registered with the Oklahoma Secretary of State.
So this applies to all medical cannabis businesses. So anyway, you must file an annual certificate – or sometimes called an annual report. So I wanted to remind people because a lot of people really just don’t know that they have to file an annual certificate every year.
It’s not difficult. You can go on the Secretary of State’s website, go pull up your entity filing, and it’ll say file document. Click on the file document, and then it’ll give you a list of things.
At the very top it says annual certificate. Click on that, follow the instructions. It’s $25 annually. Submit it, pay it, and you’ll get re-registered with the Secretary of State. If you haven’t paid your annual certificate or filed for your annual certificate and it’s lapsed, just file for it.
If it’s been more than one year, still go ahead and file for both of them. You will have to pay $25 per year. We’ve recently had to do annual certificates for multiple years. That’s a little bit more difficult. You’re welcome to a call an Oklahoma medical marijuana attorney at (918)-932-2800 if you have questions about filing your annual certificates. Have a wonderful day.
