Proof of Residency Is Easy to Present to the OMMA
Video Transcribed: How can a medical marijuana business applicant establish proof of residency? I am Tulsa medical marijuana business attorney, Ope Adegbuyi.
Any proof used to establish residency must be at least two years old without any lapse. So this may include utility bills of at least two years. However, TV and internet bills and phone bills as well are not accepted as utility bills. Letter of credit, which has to show the past two years. A driver’s license, but you can also use an expired license and a current license to prove those two years of residency and there must not be any lapse.
Basically, if your old license expired on January 31st, your new license must show continuation from February 1st. And then you can also use your Oklahoma tax returns for the past two years and a deed of at least two years.
However, for people who cannot establish that two years residency, if you had been an Oklahoma resident for consecutive five years, in the past 25 years, then you can use your high school and or college transcript that shows a consistent five years of residency. So people who maybe have lived in Oklahoma 10 years ago and moved out but then moved back can also use that option.
